SYNOPSIS and DISCUSSION
At mid to upper troposphere, a ridge will stretch from Northern Africa towards the Mediterranean and Central Europe. Low geopotentials will dominate over Scandinavia with prevailing zonal flow over Western and Central Europe. A deep trough over the Atlantic will enhance southerly, warm and moist advection west of Iberia. A tongue of marginal CAPE will form as modest lapse rates will spread over the moister airmass. Scattered DMC is simulated just ahead and along the advancing cold front. Otherwise elsewhere conditions will be too hostile for thunderstorms.
